A Dangerous Year

The year 2024 is shaping up to be a dangerous year. Be aware of the following-

• Recession. With high interest rates in conjunction with high levels of consumer and corporate debt, and continuing high levels of inflation, it is likely that most developed economies will fall into recession.
• Retail spending is likely to collapse, and the stock markets fall
• Unemployment levels are likely to increase
• It is conceivable that the US bank failures seen in 2023 H1 will be repeated
• Real estate prices, especially commercial, will likely fall significantly
• The BRICS nations continue in their efforts to dislodge the US dollar as the global trade currency
• The US Presidential election in November 2024
• The ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza, which have the potential to escalate beyond the borders in question
